Eat Local. Support Public Education.

In partnership with the Downtown Boone Development Association, WEF is hosting Forks Up! For Education – a Restaurant Week supporting public schools in Watauga County.

Dine at a participating Downtown Boone restaurant and support Watauga County Schools teachers, students, and staff! Local restaurants will donate 3% of profits to WEF to support projects, grants, scholarships, and support for Watauga County public school students and teachers where state and local budgets fall short. Currently, North Carolina ranks #50 – last in the nation – in state and local education funding.
